“Excuse me, sir. Would you like to give blood today?” Sean’s hopeful expression fell as yet another person shook his head and continued along. Not a single one today. The boss isn’t going to like this.
No sooner had the thought crossed his mind, then one of his fellow volunteers stepped out of the bus. “He wants to see you.”
Sean’s eyes caught the top half of the setting sun as he climbed into the bus. When the door closed behind him, a familiar voice with glowing red eyes welcomed him.
“Ah, Sean. Ready to fill your quota for today?”
