April turned and tossed her soda into the trash while grabbing something she hid under the table.
“Really, babe, I don’t see what the big deal is. So your mom can’t stay over for a while. It’s not like I started the renovation on purpose.”
She smiled at her boyfriend and shrugged, knowing he did just that. “It’s not that.”
She sat up and tossed a pregnancy test onto the table in front of him. “I don’t know, what do you think, ‘Daddy’?”
He stared at, letting out a whimper.
“My mom would be less noisy.”
