“I think we’re stuck.”
Tom glanced at his friend, unsure whether he wanted to swat at him or laugh. “What was the first hint? When it wouldn’t start?”
Jerry shook his head. “No, when you punched the top of the radiator four times.”
Tom opened his mouth but a hissing sound stopped him. They looked at each other, then down.
Through the gaps in the engine’s layout, they saw the head of an alligator under the car.
Without waiting, Tom slammed the hood and hopped onto the car with Jerry following him.
“What now?” Jerry asked.
Tom shrugged. “We wait?”
