“Look here. Give me your quarter so I can get some bubble-gum.” Justin held his hand out to his brother, Phil.
Phil shook his head. “No. I want to get it. You always get it.”
The cashier watched them from her place behind the counter. She couldn’t help smiling at the scene. Kids acted in the cutest ways. Wanting to help, she offered, “Boys, why don’t you split the gum? Then you can both have a piece.”
Phil shook his head. “It’s not for us.”
“Yeah,” Justin said, “It’s for our dad. Mom says she won’t give him a blow.”
