Skeletons in the Locker
The last day of school was the day for students to finish cleaning out their lockers. For Jerry, that meant throwing out every homework assignment he never finished.
Intent on following along with the yearly ritual, he opened his locker and stared at a stack of crumpled papers. Sighing, he started pulling it out as his crush walked up.
“Oh, hi… uh, Brenda.”
“A bunch of us are having a party tonight. Want to come?”
He nearly choked on his beating heart. “Sure! What time?”
A girlie magazine fell from his arms.
“Um, tonight still on?”
