Good morning everyone! Let’s get this week off to a great start by giving a warm welcome to returning poet, JadeRowan Restrepo and her poem, It’s All in the Head.
It’s All in the Head by JadeRowan Restrepo
I can’t tell
The difference anymore
The line used to be visible to me
I can’t see it
Has fallen apart
Suddenly like the abyss
Nothing makes sense anymore
Everything in confusion
A cloud of doom hanging over my head
Visible for all to see
Everyone but me
So lonely here
I need someone
To pull me out of this misery
Is there not enough love to save me?
Will there be no one to pull me into the light?
To destroy the cloud
That blocks the line and clearly lead the way
To the happier side.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing, JR!
