“Oh, come on.” Paul smacked the steering wheel in frustration.
“Told you, you needed gas. The gauge never worked right.”
He glanced at his girlfriend and let out a growl. “I know.”
Letting out a sigh, Pam looked out the window at the traffic jam. “Looks like we’d be waiting anyway.”
“Yeah. Got your cell phone?”
She handed it over as a loud crash and screams filled the air.
They got out of the car and gasped at seeing the bridge they would’ve been stuck on was now a pile of rubble and cars.
