Jacob sat on the dock watching his bobber sit on the water without any sign of life.
He didn’t mind it, though. Few things in life were as quiet and relaxing as sitting outside and waiting for something to bite.
Footsteps on the dock caught his attention.
“You’d best make less noise.”
The man answered with a grunt as he settled next to Jacob. “It’s done, boss.”
The man shook his head. “None, though his parents will probably report him missing in a day or so.”
“I expected that, poor fool.” His bobber disappeared. “Oh, a big one.”
