Joe let out a grunt before collapsing next to his wife. It took him a couple of minutes to catch his breath, but his wife never moved. Looking over, he asked, “Are you all right?”
“Yes.” Her answer was crisp, and surprised him.
“Why don’t you listen?”
“You heard me.”
Joe stared at her for a second before bursting out in laughter.
She glared at him. “I don’t think it’s funny.”
“Of course not. You were the one yelling faster. I do have a bad heart, you know.”
“So, I changed my insurance.”
