For the Dogs
Ethel took the opportunity to look around her while her dog relieved herself. It wasn’t often that she took the time to pay attention to the world around her. It was easier to keep to herself instead of putting her trust in others.
It didn’t help that whenever she turned on the TV, they talked about missing people or murders, and it was always in a neighborhood like hers. No, her poodle was the only companion she needed or wanted. At least, no one could call her a crazy cat lady.
If only she could get her mom to understand.
