Good morning and welcome to this week’s edition of In the Books, featuring Silent Baby Screams by Regina Puckett.
About the Book: Gwen doesn’t understand why her husband resents their newborn baby so much, but she never suspects that one day she’ll return home from work to discover their baby boy has simply vanished. What happens next is the stuff of nightmares.
My Review: I love horror, but psychological horror is my favorite. Nothing beats a good story that messes with your mind, and this one delivers in a huge way. Though the story was only twenty pages, it was full of the same visceral uneasiness I love. I ran through the various emotions the author led me on like a fish on a line and relished every minute.
If you love a fast and memorable read, this is the one for you.
