Some Kinda Day
Nick tilted his head back as the rain danced across his fast. The cleanness of the water refreshed him, giving him a second wind.
These were the kinds of things he enjoyed out of life. Nothing but the simple things for him. All he had to do was ignore the trappings of the modern world.
“Now this is what I’m talking about. Nothing beats a good rain storm.”
Smiling, he turned toward the gagged woman tied to the tree and covered in honey as she struggled. “Better save your strength. The bears’ll find you before long and they’ll be hungry.”
