Good morning! Please join me in welcoming Ed Ireland and his poem, Mind of a Cloud, from his book, Forgotten Treasure, available on his website (Check links below).
Mind of a Cloud by Ed Ireland (Forgotten Treasure)
Sometimes I’m white and fluffy and high
Other times I’m thin and streak across the sky
At times I’m hidden away from your eye
And I can even make images or so you imply
Then there are times when I’m dark and mean
With thunder and lightning I cause quite a scene
I throw down my rain, the streets I clean
If you complain I’ll wash away your bowling green
Yes, I’m a cloud and I go where there’s fun
If you come to the beach then I’ll cover the sun
If you’re out in a field then I’ll rain till you run
If you’re stuck inside then I’ll be shining a ton
I’m everything you want just not what you need
I’m complex and contrary and on that we’re agreed
But you can’t live without me you must concede
And the mind of a cloud will never ever pay heed.
This sounds so like me. LOL Awesome poem, Ed, and thank you for sharing! 😀
