Good morning and welcome to this week’s Poetry Corner! Please join me in welcoming Vic Tomlinson! 🙂
One Snowy Evening by Vic Tomlinson
The wind whistled in my ears
and the snow swirled around me.
I tried to catch the flakes with my tongue
as they splattered against my cheeks
and collided with my eye lashes.
The snow had covered the fields
and had accumulated on the trees.
As darkness neared,
the world was clothed in white.
I pulled my stocking cap down to cover my face,
and pushed up my coat’s collar,
as I journeyed into the darkness of night.
The stars will soon
be my guiding light.
Awesome poem, Vic! I can’t tell you how much I miss playing in the snow. 🙂 Thank you for sharing with us.
