Good morning and welcome to this week’s Poetry Corner! Please join me in welcoming Vic Tomlinson! 🙂
My Car by Vic Tomlinson
My car gets me where I want to go
although some days it’s ever so slow.
Many times it just won’t start
and then it usually needs a new part.
It’s not very pretty, that’s for sure,
and then again these wheels are my only cure.
When the snow, through the vents, blows in,
I know the car is near its end.
But it just keeps going,
trying to avoid the inevitable towing.
Never give in
until the very end.
Awesome poem, Vic! I love this. 🙂 We can all use a reminder to never give up every now and then. Plus, it helps if we’ve had a car like this. They can be stubborn in a good way as well.
Keep up with Vic by following him on:
