“Did you figure out why it’s not working yet?” Rob asked from his lawn chair on the back porch.
Carly brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes and glared at him. “No, but you asking me every five minutes isn’t helping.”
“Just trying to keep on top of it, babe.”
She grunted as she turned back to the car engine, hoping to find the reason it wouldn’t start. After checking everything she could think of, she stood and asked, “You got gas yesterday, right?”
“Was I supposed to do that?”
She needed a heavier wrench to fix this.
