Good morning and welcome to this week’s edition of the Poetry Corner! 🙂 Please join me in welcoming Vic Tomlinson! Take it away, Vic. 🙂
My Dogs by Vic Tomlinson
I love my dogs,
even though they lay around
like bumps on logs.
They sleep all day,
oblivious to the sun’s rays.
They lift their heads to scratch and lick
as the clock continues to tick.
When I come home, they greet me then
as if I were the king of their den.
If I need someone to complain to,
they are always there, next to my shoe.
They are my friends
and they’re there until the end.
Hopefully, I care for my “brothers”
as much as I do these others.
Awesome poem, Vic! Nothing is like a dog or other pet that is always there for us. 🙂
Keep up with Vic by following him on:
