On the Floor
“Come on, babe. It’ll be like camping.” Casey patted a spot next to him on the comforter he spread on the floor.
Jill stood watching him, her lips curling into a smile. “You’re so weird.”
He gave her a goofy grin. “You betcha.”
Sighing, she settled next to him. “This is different.”
“Gotta keep the spice going, babe.”
She saw the shadow as he leaned in for a kiss. Before she could say anything, their retriever slopped a wet kiss across Casey’s face.
Giggling, she rubbed the dog’s ears. “You forgot about wild beasts.”
All he could say was, “Yeah.”
