A Good Friend
“What’s worse than a thousand dead lawyers?”
Phil shook his head, wishing Clint knew a funny joke. “I don’t know, what?”
“Nonpaying clients!” Clint threw his head back in laughter as Phil looked around the restaurant.
For the life of him, he didn’t understand how he kept getting talked into going to out for lunch. At least at the office, there were others to share his suffering.
“That’s great, Clint. I think you found a winner there.”
“You think so? I loved it the minute I heard it.”
Phil nodded, wishing the check would come. “Definitely. You could do Vegas.”
