“Well, whaddya know? Looks like Hank’s got himself a new girl.” Zeke shook his head and turned back to his drink. The last time he’d seen his friend, Hank had been a drunken mess after his last ex dumped him.
“It’s not like this’ll last. You know how his luck works.” The bartender topped off his beer.
“Yeah, but maybe this time he’ll figure things out.”
“It’s possible. So’s me winning the lottery.”
“Yeah, I hear ya.” Zeke took a sip of his beer and belched. “He’ll find one that appreciates his tastes yet. His bullshit takes a strong stomach.”
