“Look, we’ve got to finish this before the boss comes in, got me? If we don’t, it’s our asses.” Jake turned back to the half-filled vat of molten lead and pushed the body in. The splash wasn’t large, and it quickly smoothed again, hiding all traces of the body.
Turning, he smiled. “See? When they find him, it’ll look like an accident.”
Joe shook his head. “I don’t like it.”
“Neither do I, but you think there’ll be justice otherwise? The boss stole from us! This way, they’ll think the two had a falling out and the boss killed him.”
