Time’s a Wastin’
“Come on, already. I don’t have all night, you idiots.” Lawrence’s frustration had grown over the last hour as he heard the scrapping of shovels above him, but it hit a new high at hearing his voice echo in his confines.
No one ever said anything about this. I was supposed to wake before they buried me!
He ground his teeth and felt his new elongated canines with his tongue.
After a few more minutes, the shovels scrapped against his coffin lid.
When the lid was forced open, his smile faded; then he screamed as the sunlight roasted him.
