“Damn, you’re heavy!” Alex grunted as he hefted Will through the window, trying not to drop him the three feet to the ground.
“Shut it, asshole!” Will hissed. “It’s not my fault.”
“You shot your own foot! How is it not your fault?”
Alex shook his head as he helped Will down the narrow lane between houses. “Only you could screw up a simple robbery.”
“It looked cool. I didn’t know it was loaded.”
Police lights flashed. “Hold it!”
Cursing, Alex dropped his friend and raised his hands. “Please, shoot him, officer. Put him out of my misery.”
