Jake paused, his hand holding the knife shook with anticipation. All he had to do was plunge it in, and he could go on with his life. Or, he could let nature take its course.
Knowing he couldn’t harm another being, he lowered the knife and turned away, leaving his wife’s boyfriend leaning against a tree, gurgling as the python he had stumbled onto tightened its grip on him.
