Jason stood over a grave marker as rain pelted him. The cemetery was quiet this time of year, and that was for the best.
The cold air and his breath misting didn’t bother him despite being soaked to the bone. He didn’t know how long he’d been there. All that mattered was honoring the name on the stone before him.
Stepping forward, he knelt and wiped mossy grime from the marker, then placed a necklace next to the marker. The rain washed blood from his hand as he did so.
“It’s done, Bro. I got her for you. Rest easy.”
