“Dad, I’m bored,” Zach whined, looking at his dad with his best puppy dog eyes.
His dad smiled at his son. “You have to have patience, son. The fish don’t jump into the boat on their own.”
Zach sighed. “I guess.”
His dad rested a hand on his shoulder. “Just give it a little more time. If you’re still not having fun, we’ll head home. Deal?”
Zach looked up, smiling. “Deal.”
As Zach turned back, his rod jerked. “Dad?” It jerked again. “Dad!”
His dad turned, smiling. “Give it a sharp tug to set the hook.”
Zach pulled back, cackling.
