“Take a look at this baby. Not a day over four and ready to roll.”
Tam rolled his eyes as the horse trader motioned to a boney looking nag. “For what you charge, I’d like something that’ll last a few miles.”
The horse trader spit tobacco into the dirt and smiled. “I can see yer a man of principle. I respect that. I don’t like it, but I respect it.”
“Thanks.” I think.
“Don’t mention it. Now, over here we have a champion among champions, and for only $200.”
Tam sighed at seeing another run-down horse. So much for quick.
