“Alighty, all we have to do now is wait,” Simon said as he shifted his weight and crouched next to the tree.
Buck crouched next to him, still wondering how he’d managed to get dragged out here in the pre-dawn blackness. “You said that before. What are we waiting for?”
“Told you I’d take you hunting, didn’t I?”
“Yeah, but nothing’s in season.”
Simon waved off his concern. “Don’t matter. What we’re hunting for isn’t allowed anyway.”
Great. Just great. Sighing, Buck sighed as Simon tapped him on the shoulder.
“You’d better get running, buddy.”
“You’re the bait.”
