Heroes Start Young
Tommy sat on his bed, humming the tune of his favorite movie while playing with a werewolf mask. Downstairs, his parents sat listening as he kept his door open.
“That’s not healthy, Harold. A kid his age shouldn’t have a werewolf as a hero.”
Harold shrugged. “I wanted to be the Lone Ranger. It’s something kids go through.”
“There’s a difference between a killer and a lawman.”
“Not really. The werewolf kills criminals, and the Lone Ranger was a vigilante. Pretty similar, if you ask me.”
Tommy let out another howl.
“That’s your son.”
“At least he’s housebroken.”
