Good morning and welcome to this week’s Poetry Corner, featuring Cheyenne Bramwell! 🙂
let the scent of leatherbound paper surround me,
like the warm embrace of an age-old friend.
I want to be carried away on the words of a master storyteller,
shown worlds without end,
and watch as lives are played out before my eyes.
I want to be enveloped in these new worlds,
and taken far away,
where the troubles of my everyday are nothing but a blip
on the outskirts of my subconscious.
I want to be with you again.
my old friend.
Awesome poem, Cheyenne! This is my new favorite. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
