Twice is the Charm
“Really? Again?” Brian asked his girlfriend as he leaned against the bathroom door with his arms crossed across his chest. “You know, I’ve heard just about every rejection imaginable, but no one’s ever gotten sick at the thought of sleeping with me. Twice.”
Jennifer spit what she hoped was the last bit of her dinner into the toilet and shook her head. “I’m sorry, I don’t know why this is happening. I was fine all day.”
It’s just nerves, she told herself. Nothing to do with being late.
Brian let out a heavy sigh. “Need anything?”
“Maybe a pregnancy test?”
